Another Friday and another 40 Great nail art ideas post. This weeks prompt for me was a fish braid design! I've never done one of these before and I've always wanted to try but I didn't really think the original type fish braid would work with nude. So I went for the stencil version and decided to make it harder for myself as I didn't actually have any stencils! I attempted to make the design from straight line vinyls. I don't think I did too bad did I?
The nude base I used was two coats of Colville Mews from Nails Inc. Blue was the other colour that I chose. Dress to impress from Danglefoot Nail polish is on my pinky and pointer, two coats. I used Dress to impress along with B a. Ocean from Colour alike to make the fish braid nails. To tie in the fishy theme I stamped using the Nautical plate from Uber Chic that was sent to me for review by Nail-Artisan.
It's a gorgeous mini plate with a few full size images and lots of smaller cute ones! This plate measures 6cm x 12cm and has a plastic backing. I love anything nautical and have already used this plate for another mani that will be on the blog next week hopefully. This plate retails for £5.99 on Nail-Artisan.
So what do you think of this fishy mani? Have you attempted a fish braid before? Don't forget to swing by Nail-Artisan if you love the nautical plate!
Bye for now x
