Virago Varnish - Swatches, Review and nail art

Another week is here and I back at work yesterday. I don't mind though as it's nice to be back into a routine, although I did enjoy having lots of free time to do my nails! Today I have a new to me indie to share with you, thanks to Alex from Nail-Artisan. She is the UK stockist for Virago Varnish and let me tell you...I am impressed with these! They are 5 free, cruelty free and vegan friendly. Ready for the swatches?

First up is Bare which is a really gorgeous light brown. This is not a colour I would normally go for but it's so pretty and delicate and a great base for nail art! This swatch was two coats but you could actually get away with one.

Disrobed is a lovely cedar brown nude and it's opaque in just one coat...one coat?! And it stamps!! Sorry, I'm slightly excited by this one!

Exposed is a light mauve colour and it's so pretty and girly without being in your face. This swatch is two coats but it was practically opaque in one.

My last swatch is something a bit different...glitter!! This is Abstain From Champagne, don't you just love that name. It's a champagne coloured holographic glitter in a clear base. I was feeling lazy and couldn't be bothered sponging on the polish so I just applied 3 coats to obtain this level of opacity. This polish is from the Microglitter collection.

I created this mani with Bare, Disrobed and Abstain from Champange. The stamping on my middle finger was actually crated with Disrobed! I'm so impressed with how well that stamped and I don't actually have a brown stamping polish so this will come in handy. Images are from Uber Chic Great Outdoors and 6-01.

I used Abstain from Champagne here in this birthday mani I did for a friend on Instragam. The Black is a textured polish from Pro-belle Beauty. The images are from Uber Chic 12-03 and 6-01.

I am massively impressed by all these polishes, especially the first three which are part of the Nudity collection. I've never used creme polishes that apply so perfectly, have such a great formula and are opaque in practically one coat. I normally just skip on my cremes and get them from the high street but I want more Virago's now!

The Nudes are priced at £8.00, but you can get the full collection of all 6 for £48.50. Abstain from Champagne is £9.50 and they all contain 13.2ml.

You can pick all these up from Nail-artisan as well as a wide range of other nail art items.

Bye for now x
