I hope you are all having a great Good Friday! It's been a lovely day today and even the weather has been pleasant. We went for a trip to IKEA (everyone loves IKEA right?!) and stopped off for some Krispy Kreme doughnuts on the way back. Yum Yum! I was talking to Becca, from A Certain Becca Nails, earlier this week about Easter nails and she gave me the inspiration to do these. I think she will be posting her Easter mani on Sunday so watch out for that!
For the base on my pointer and middle nails I use two coats of Dove from Model's Own which looks like Mini Eggs, totally Easter appropriate! To stamp I used Born Pretty Store plate BPL-025 and I used EDK in Dolly. I freehanded the little pink bits on the ears on my middle nail using Drunk pink tank from Hit the bottle. Mr bunny that's just sitting on the edge of my pointer was a decal. Using EDK Dolly again and I coloured in his ears (Hit the bottle - Drunk pink tank) and his eyes (Hit the bottle - Smurf Blood) while he was on the stamper.
The other two nails were painted in two coats of Cornflower Gleam also from Models Own. I went for some subtle gradient stamping with an image that I thought could pass for an Easter egg which is from Hehe plate 019. All Hit the bottle polishes were used. Drunk pink tank, Call a plumber and Smurf blood.
As always I sealed in with my favourite top coat.
