Hey guys! Hope your week has been ok. I've had the last few days off work and I've but the Christmas decs up, wrapped presents, finished my Christmas shopping and I am officially in Christmas mode lol!! I'm afraid there is no Christmas in sight today as I have the recent Meebox, Thorough The Looking Glass, to share with you.
Firstly, look at all the goodies in this box!! 3 nail polishes, 1 top coat, a stamping plate, a stamper and some stickers. As you can see it's all based around Alice in Wonderland with the plate, the stickers and the colours too.
Here's a closer look at the MoYou Alice In Wonderland 04 plate which is the smaller images, a bit awkward for my nails but I made it work, and the clear stamper.
My first swatch was of Front Row by IZ Beauty of London. It's a stunning rich maroon colour and it was nicely opaque in two coats. It also dried super quick.
Next up is the Sally Hansen set that came in the box. This is three coats of Sleigh All Day topped with the Miracle Gel Top Coat.
Lastly is my favourite polish from the box, Saint by Zoya. This is a beautiful periwinkle with a magenta shimmer running through it. I added three coats for full opacity. Unfortunately I am really not fond of the brush on this one as it's very thin so you need quite a few brushstrokes to cover one nail so if you aren't careful you end up flooding the cuticle area.
For my nail art look I used all three polishes from the box, images from the stamping plate and some of the stickers to create a storyboard type mani. As the Alice In Wonderland story goes, she drinks the potion to shrink so she's small enough to fit through the door but then she leaves the key on the table...oh dear lol! I managed to use a few of the images from the MoYou Alice In Wonderland 04 plate to show part of the story on my nails! I did have to overlap some images as they are too small for my nails.
What Alice In Wonderland mani is complete without some form of Cheshire cat?! So I placed a repeated smiling Cheshire Cat image on my pinky.
