Meebox - Birds of Paradise - Swatches and review

Hey guys! Today's post is a really exciting one for me. The lovely ladies at Meebox recently asked me if I would like to join their team and become their third ambassador! OH M GEEEE! I was super excited and so honoured! It's coming up to their second birthday and I remember reviewing their first box. They have done so well in the past two years and everyone who tries this subscription box just loves it!

This months theme is Birds Of Paradise which as you can guess it has a more tropical feel. The box contains three polishes, one of which is a stamping polish, a stamping plate, stamper and a nail polish corrector.

Here's a closer look at the stamping plate and stamper. This is MoYou London Tropical 06 and their plates are just fab. I actually own some myself but I go for the XL plates as my nails are long. I don't use the regular stampers these days but they are fab for beginners and I did actually used it for part of my nail art mani and it picked up really well and I didn't even need to prime it.

This is Rosebower by A England and it's a gorgeous rose red colour. It is described to have subtle holographic overtones but I would say it's more shimmer. This baby was opaque in one coat! Pictured with no top coat.

After The Storm is an off white/light grey polish from MoYou London. This can be used as a regular nail polish but it also work really well as a stamping polish. This is also opaque in one coat.

Now this beauty was my favourite item from this box. I've been wanting to try Wikkid Polish for a while but as with many brands, I just haven't got around to it! So when I saw this amazing multichrome polish in the box I was so excited! Dione by Wikkid is a stunning shade shifter! I took loads of pictures of this one and I found it hard to whittle it down to these few lol in this image you can see more of the deep green colour.

Then here you can see that turquoise trying to shine through and just about the purple.

Gaaahhhh I just love this shot! Perfect shift between the turquoise and the purple.

And for good measure here's another shot! I did one coat of Dione over a thickish coat of Black Forrest by Barry M. Alternatively, you could just three layers of Dione to build up the opacity.

I did a bit of advanced stamping for my mani and used the Humming Bird and Woodpecker images as their wings can look almost multichrome! On my pointer and middle finger I stamped with After The Storm and as you can see it stamps nicely. As the images are quite small for my nails I used a clear stamper to help me join the two images together. I used the stamper that came with this kit for the other nails.

For all these manis I used the Precision Corrector by Leighton Denny to clean up the edges. I will have another post coming next Tuesday showing you how to actually use this corrector and also a nail art look that I managed to create using it! It's a handy little product!

If you were to buy all these items separate from the links above it would cost you a total of £44.47 plus any postage and packaging from all the different sites!
Tropical 06 - £5.99
Stamper and Scraper - £2.99
Dione - £6.50
Rosebower - £11.00
After The Storm - £5.99
Leighton Denny Procession Corrector - £12.00

This box was £20.00 from Meebox! That's more the half under the actual cost of these items. If you like nail polish and enjoy a surprise then you definitely need to sign up for this box. It costs £20 per month or if you sign up for three months up front it works out to be £18 per month. The theme gets announced on the 1st of every month and your box is usually shipped out on the 22nd by Royal Mail and it's tracked too!

Don't forget to check out Meebox on their social media below.

Bye for now x
