Meebox - Bollywood Nights swatches and review

Hey guys! Hope you had a fab weekend. Today I have a review of the recent Meebox, Bollywood Nights. I loved this theme as the colours were just gorgeous and it was nice to have a more personal touch to the box as the lovely Bee was the main inspiration behind this one!

As you can see in the box we have lots of goodies. Three nail polishes, a peel off base coat, some glitter, nail stickers and some tattoos.... stick on ones of course.

First up is Nothing But Sand by Leighton Denny. A gorgeous mustard yellow and it was opaque in just two coats, maybe one if you use a thicker one.

Models Own Petunia Glitz is a gorgeous juicy hot pink with pink and silver flakes. My swatch is two coats but you can still see some nail lines.

Ivy At The Shore by Lauren B Beauty is the most perfect teal! When I lived at home I had a teal, cream and chocolate bedroom and my curtains were this exact colour! This was nearly opaque in one coat but I did two to help with the brushstrokes, which is always a problem with metallic finish polishes.

In the box was also Secret by Little Ondine which is a UK indie. It is a water based peel off base so it is great for people who want to use pigment powders but not gel polish. I used it under Ivy At The Shore (which I added some stamping to but that will be in Friday's post) and I found it quite tricky to peel and as you can see it made my nails quite dry :( Maybe it just didn't agree with me. Please excuse the dog hair....they get everywhere!!

For my nail art mani I stuck with the pink and yellow as I had already done something with the teal. I used Nothing But Sand as a base coat on my ring finger and then added the glitter to it while it was still wet. I added some of the cute nail stickers to my other nails and then tried using the transfer henna tattoos on my middle nail. It was a bit tricky and they are mainly for use on skin but it worked pretty well I think.

This box totalled a whopping £46.47 based on the links above that I found (excluding the henna tattoos as they are not on the Karizma London website) Now that is value for your money.

Nothing But Sand by Leighton Denny - £12.00
Petunia Glitz by Models Own - £4.99
Ivy At The Shore by Lauren B - $18.00 (approx £13.00)
Secret by Little Ondine - £9.00
Gold Regal stickers by Miss Cat Nails - £1.99
Gold glitter by Miss Cat Nails - £2.49
Metallic Henna Tattoos by Karizma London - £3

What did you think of this theme? I think the ladies smashed it this month!!

This box was £20.00 from Meebox! If you like nail polish and enjoy a surprise then you definitely need to sign up for this box. It costs £20 per month or if you sign up for three months up front it works out to be £18 per month. The theme gets announced on the 1st of every month and your box is usually shipped out on the 22nd by Royal Mail and it's tracked too!

Don't forget to check out Meebox on their social media below.

Bye for now x
