Meebox UK Swatches and Review - August 2015

 *Press Sample
Meebox is the UK's latest subscription box dedicated to nail lovers! Meebox launched in August and every month they will feature the world most sought after polishes and nail treatments. They kindly asked if I would review their first box and I was super excited to receive it.

One thing that I loved straight away was the packaging..how cute is this box?! It has their logo right on the front and the box is very study too. There's even a little sticker that says "Open Mee".

On the first of every month Meebox will announce the theme for the box, without giving away what the contents will be. Then it is shipped around the middle of the month. This months theme was California dreamin' as we just don't want to let go of summer!

Inside the box we have three polishes, three swatch sticks, cuticle oil and some palm tree nail vinyls. As you can see they came very well packaged. The swatch sticks are great for testing what the polishes are like before you apply them. It would be great if they were in every box as you could collect them on a chain, as they have a hole at the bottom, so that way you can easily see all your polish collection without having to rummage through your drawers!

First up we have Flip Flop Fantasy by China Glaze. This is a super bright neon peach!

The only thing that lets this polish down is the formula. I have a few China Glaze polishes and they are fine to work with. It's quite streaky on the first few coats and took four coats to achieve full opacity. I would recommend using it with white undies. Top coated with Seche Vite.

When I went to bed on the night I wore this I realised it was practically glowing! So I had to take a quick picture to show you guys lol.

This is the gorgeous Disco Dress by Color Club. I would say Disco Dress is a blurple. It looks more dark purple but in certain light you can see hints of blue.

It's very thick so I applied two thin coats, but it was nearly opaque in one. Top coated with Seche Vite.

Lastly we have the stunning Turquoise Gloss from Models own. This is right up my street! It is a beautiful green leaning turquoise and I don't think that is coming across on camera very well.

Turquoise Gloss is from Models Own Hyper Gel range so it's super glossy. Just to show you how glossy it really is, I haven't applied any top coat.

There was also a small bottle of  CND Solar Oil in the box. This is a cuticle oil I haven't tried before and I am now kicking myself for it. It's so nice to apply and smells beautiful. It's a mixture of almond, marzipan and it really reminds me of battenberg cake!

In the box also came some palm tree nail vinyls which are from What's Up Nails. I have their watermarble tool so I thought I would see how well these polishes marbled and I was really happy with the results. The marble isn't perfect as it is still a new technique to me but either way I love it. It's like some sort of psychedelic beach look!

This box retails at £20 for a one off purchase, including p&p, which I think is good as it comes via courier so you get tracking information. They also offer discounts on longer term subscriptions. I also want to add that their customer service is fantastic. Very polite and fast responding.

So what did you think of this box? Is it something you would buy?

Don't forget to check out Meebox on their website, Facebook and Instagram!
